LC Farm Bureau Foundation “Pull for Ag Students” Fundraiser

  The Livingston County Farm Bureau Foundation is hosting a “Pull for Ag Students” fundraiser on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Livingston County Farm Bureau Gun Club located at 4-H Park, Pontiac. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for the Roger Naylor Scholarship Fund.

Pedal Tractor Pull Winners Announced

The Livingston County Young Leaders held a pedal tractor pull for children during the 4-H Fair on Wednesday, July 21st. Sixty-six (66) children participated in three weight categories: Class “A” 45 lbs. and under; Class “B” 46-65 lbs. and Class “C” 66-80 lbs.

Teachers find "Amazing Agriculture" through Institute

Brian Blair, Saunemin Jr. High School, Brenda Thompson, Washington Grade School in Pontiac, and Pam Pagel, Odell Grade School gave their final presenation about dairy at the close of the Summer Ag Institute on July 2nd.

Breakfast for 60 cents!

If you didn't make it to the Kilgus Farmstead, Fairbury, for breakfast on Saturday, June 12th, you missed the deal breakfastof the year! The LC Farm Bureau Young Leaders' Committee sponsored a "Farmers Share Breakfast" for 60 cents. The breakfast consisted of sausage gravy on biscuit, 2 scrambled eggs, 8 oz. orange juice, 8 oz. milk, and 8 oz. coffee. How is the price figured?
